Health Surveillance:

Palumbo Building values the health and safety of all individuals involved in its construction projects. For this reason, arranging health surveillance is offered to relevant contractors in accordance with Schedule 6 of the Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare Regulations 1995. The following types of health surveillance have been identified as relevant to the business activities of Palumbo Building:

HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE	TYPE OF HEALTH SURVEILLANCE
Asbestos	§ Occupational and medical history § Demographic data § Records of personal exposure
Crystalline Silica (present when cement cutting occurs)	§ Occupational and medical history § Demographic data § Completion of standardised respiratory questionnaire § Standardised respiratory function tests; FEV1, FVC and FEV1/FVC. § Chest X-ray, full size PA view.
