Health Surveillance

Palumbo Building values the health and safety of all individuals involved in its construction projects. For this reason, arranging health surveillance is offered to relevant contractors in accordance with Schedule 6 of the Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare Regulations 1995. The following types of health surveillance have been identified as relevant to the business activities of Palumbo Building:

Crystalline Silica (present when cement cutting occurs)

- Standardised respiratory function tests; FEV1, FVC and FEV1/FVC.
- Chest X-ray, full size PA view.
Vinyl Chloride (released when PVC pipes are heated during cutting)
